The IceBlips iCE40-LP1k FPGA Module (3.3V) is a compact and efficient field-programmable gate array (FPGA) solution designed for various digital logic applications. It features 1280 logic cells and 64k bits of embedded RAM, organized into sixteen 4k bit blocks. The module includes an on-board PIC16F15325 microcontroller responsible for programming the Flash memory and resetting the FPGA. Additionally, the PIC microcontroller generates an 8MHz clock signal for the FPGA. The module operates exclusively at a voltage of 3.3V and, when running the blip_cnt firmware—a 13-bit counter driving all I/O pins at 8MHz—it consumes a mere 5mA of current. The IceBlips iCE40-LP1k FPGA Module offers 13 available FPGA I/O pins, making it a versatile choice for various embedded systems and digital logic projects. An IceBlip programmer can be used for programming either in a ZIF socket or directly on a custom PCB.
